Jonathan Pope is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning Cinematographer whose work has been distributed and showcased worldwide.

 

Raised outside Atlanta, Jonathan was drawn to cinema from an early age. His approach to cinematography is rooted in collaboration and a belief in story-first filmmaking. He works closely with directors and the creative team to craft a visual language that serves the emotional truth of the characters and story through atmosphere, composition, and movement.

 

His narrative credits include Deville, directed by Luca Pizzoleo, John Berardo’s The Mannequin, and Hungry House, the directorial debut of August Getty. His work on the Emmy-winning The Social Dilemma (Netflix/Exposure Labs) earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography.

 

Jonathan was a 2022–23 ASC Vision Mentee under Adam Kane and holds an MFA in Film & Television Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
